In less than one month, I'll be heading to South America for a 3-week time period to compete in 3 World Cup tournaments and 2 international training camps. These three tournaments will decide whether I make the 2015 Pan American Team, so to say this tour is important would be an incredible understatement! If, after this tour, I have the most World Ranking points in my weight division, I will be the 48kg Team USA representative at the Pan American Championships! I've been working my butt off since I got back from Tunisia. I've been rehabbing my shoulder, lifting, running (hate, hate, hate running....), and learning a bunch at practice. This past week, the athletes had the opportunity to lead practice, as our coach was out of state. My teammates Hannah Martin, Brad Bolen, and Tony Sangimino did an amazing job running practice. We did drills and techniques we haven't done in years. Tony did an awesome job teaching us some tips and strategies that will be very beneficial during tournaments. (They were new to me...so I'm assuming they were new to a lot of people). I was so proud of the JMJCers...we all busted our butts, were incredibly efficient & effective with drills, helped each other out, encouraged each other, and just had an amazing week of practice. We were all dead and sore by the time Friday came around, but it was worth it...and enjoyable! | |
I'm so grateful for the donations and support I've received in the past. I'm going to thank you all ahead of time, because I know you're doing and giving everything you can, to help me succeed. Every well-wish, "good luck", confidence-boosting comment, every penny, every "like", and every "share" helps me along the way. I couldn't do this without all of you. If you get a chance, check out my "GoFundMe" campaign page for the upcoming South American Tour. "Like" it, "share" it, comment on it, and donate if you can...please, please, please? :)
