Snacking is a part of life—especially for those of us who live our lives on-the-go. Stop reaching for the high calorie, low nutrient candy bar or bag of chips. Instead, try these snacks to help curb hunger, boost metabolism, and fuel your body! When choosing snacks, look for the following:
- Foods high in nutritional value (rich in vitamins, minerals, and nutrients)
- Low in fat & sugar (no more than 12 grams of fat)
- High in fiber (more than 3 grams)
- High in protein (more than 5 grams)
- Low in calories (between 100-200)
- High in water content
